Expert panel member at political party conferences
Speaking in my consulting room to people using substances in a harmful way is only a part of a collective effort to help people change their lives. Having followed UK government drug policy over the years, I welcomed Dame Carol Black's policy document 'From harm to hope: A 10-year drugs plan to cut crime and save lives', published in December 2021. The policy proposes numerous pragmatic approaches that I wholeheartedly endorse. In 2023, I was delighted to be able to join Change Grow Live to speak at Labour and Conservative party conference fringe events. I'm keen to bring my practical clinical knowledge to the world of policy development and implementation.
